QuickTime is an extension of your computer's software. Developed by Apple, QuickTime permits the inclusion of sound, text, graphics, animation, MPEG, and 3D into a document. QuickTime is a basis of creating multimedia content.
An extension of QuickTime is QuickTime VR. Starting from a series of still photos, this lets you create a navigable interactive virtual environment.
There are three different kinds of QuickTime VR movies
- An object movie. This is usually an object which can be manipulated and viewed from all angles.
- A panorama movie. This is a movie where the viewer can view a 360° panorama from a single point in space.
- A VR scene: A combination of object and panorama movies is referred to as a scene

Make sure you have the free QuickTime plug-in AND the QuickTime software installed in your
computer. If not, you can download them from the nice people at
Apple. Both are available for all popular platforms at quicktime.apple.com.

Click on the picture icon to either view or download the movie.

Press on play to view the QuickTime movie. To see the QTVR movie use
your mouse to move around. On Wintel machines use shift and control keys
to zoom in and out. On Macintoshes use the control and option keys.
